You are struggling as a couple
The same conflicts repeat, communication has changed, or the relationship feels increasingly disconnected.
Explore Couples Coaching in WestchesterWhen the same conversations keep ending in the same place, the question is rarely whether you have tried hard enough.
You may already be talking. Already trying to reconnect. Already trying to understand what changed. But effort without clarity can keep two people working very hard inside the same pattern.
From my office in Peekskill, I work with individuals and couples throughout Westchester County, neighboring Putnam County, and the surrounding Hudson Valley who are dealing with betrayal, loss of trust, communication breakdown, emotional disconnection, sexless marriage, or uncertainty about whether the relationship can work differently.
One of you explains more. The other hears criticism. One asks for space. The other experiences distance. One tries to solve the problem. The other is still trying to feel understood.
Eventually, the conversation is no longer only about what happened. It is also about everything each of you thinks the other person's response means.
Relationship Reset work is not about returning to the relationship you had before things became difficult.
It is about seeing what is actually happening, understanding what would need to change, and deciding consciously whether both of you are willing and able to build something different.

Private relationship coaching is available in person in Peekskill for clients throughout Westchester and neighboring Putnam County, with virtual sessions available when appropriate.
Some people come to me because marriage counseling did not give them the clarity they were looking for. Others have never worked with anyone before and simply know the relationship cannot keep operating the same way.
Relationship coaching is different from psychotherapy. The work is focused on what is happening between you now, how communication is being interpreted, where trust or connection has changed, what each person is responsible for, and what would have to happen next for the relationship to move differently.
That may lead toward rebuilding. It may lead toward clearer boundaries. It may reveal questions that still need answers. The goal is not to force the relationship toward a predetermined outcome.
Compare relationship coaching with therapy and marriage counseling.

ZIP codes are provided as a practical geographic reference and are not intended as an exhaustive postal directory. Some municipalities and postal communities include additional ZIP codes or overlapping service areas.
Westchester is home to my Peekskill office, but the people I work with do not stop at the county line.
I also work with individuals and couples from neighboring Putnam County, including Carmel, Mahopac, Putnam Valley, Cold Spring, Garrison, Brewster and surrounding communities.
For some Putnam County clients, the Peekskill office provides a practical in-person option. Others prefer to meet virtually because of work, parenting, travel, or scheduling.
The reason for reaching out is usually not geography. It is that something in the relationship has become difficult to understand or difficult to change. You may be dealing with betrayal, recurring conflict, loss of trust, emotional or physical disconnection, or the question of whether both of you are willing to build the relationship differently.
You do not need a separate process because you live in Putnam County. We begin with what is happening in the relationship and determine what deserves attention from there.
When a relationship has become reactive, distant, distrustful, or uncertain, trying to recreate an earlier version of it is rarely enough.
Relationship Reset work looks at what is happening now. What each of you means. What the other person hears. What belongs to one person to change. What requires both people. What trust would actually require. And whether the actions happening now support the future you say you want.
You may ultimately choose to rebuild the relationship. You may discover that important conditions are still missing. You may simply become clearer about what you are and are not willing to continue.
The Foundation Session is a 90-minute starting conversation for individuals and couples. I review your intake beforehand so our time can begin with the relationship itself, not with spending most of the session collecting background.
We look at what brought you here, what has already been tried, what is keeping you stuck, and what deserves attention next. You receive a personalized written recap afterward so you are not trying to remember everything once the conversation ends.
