How long does it take to heal from intimate partner betrayal? This is typed into Google hundreds of times a day. So many of us who were betrayed are looking for answers, and that's one of the top questions.

The Complexity of Healing

How long does it take to heal from intimate partner betrayal? As if Google has some sort of algorithm within it that says that if you type in:

• number of years you've been married,

• number of years or months or weeks that the infidelity took place,

• number of children,

• You live in this zip code,

• This is the type of car you drive,

• This is your bank account balance,

It goes through some sort of formulary and multiplies and divides and adds and subtracts and a fraction and this and that, and it spits out a number and tells you in 183 days you will be healed.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that.

I can tell you that when you work with someone, it definitely accelerates your healing process, especially if you're working with someone who's gone through betrayal. I'm here to let you know that you will, in fact, heal from betrayal. I know it's gut-wrenching right now.

The Emotional Turmoil

With all the emotions that you're going through, your head and your heart are completely out of sync. All you're doing is searching for answers. You're getting on various groups and writing out your life story, looking for answers, and looking for an understanding of why did this happen. What did I do? All of these questions that you have, I know I had all of the same questions, and then some.

To give you an idea of how I operate, I am not cookie-cutter. I do not put my clients through some sort of really long, convoluted, complicated process. My courses are very straightforward, right to the point. With a little bit of humor, because you do have to have humor. And I know right now you're like, "I can't laugh at anything." I'm devastated. I get it.

I know I was right there with you. I had been married for decades. I never thought, never in a million years did I think that I would ever hear the words. "I've met someone," and my whole world shattered.

It shattered for others. Sometimes it's a slow burn, but in any event, betrayal is betrayal. And it hurts. It hurts like nothing else you have ever gone through.
